The Quiet House
A Tea Apothecary & Gathering Space For Friends of the Forest

A Place for Women To Nurture Their Mind, Body & Creative Spirit

Peace of Mind. Wellness of Body. Illumination of Spirit.

The Quiet House is the indoor sanctuary of Friends of the Forest, a Connecticut based nonprofit organization that has spent the past years guiding women into the wild through forest bathing, seasonal rituals, and nature-based wellness programs. Inspired by the same rhythms of nature, the Quiet House brings that spirit indoors—a space to slow down, connect, and nourish mind, body, and soul.

Every gathering, class, and offering here is crafted to hold you with care, grace, and reverence—helping you step into your own sovereignty, light, and inner magic. Whether you’re attending a gentle seasonal workshop, enjoying a creative class, joining a circle, or simply savoring a cup of herbal tea, this is a place to pause, breathe, and reconnect—with yourself and with other women.

Step into The Quiet House, where Friends of the Forest’s vision of presence, connection, and soft magic comes alive indoors.

A warm welcome and a friendly face await you.

A Space to Soften Not Strive

Inside The Quiet House

We’ve created a beautiful, intimate space that welcomes women of all ages and life stages—a place where stories can be shared and held, and where you are gently reminded that you are not alone. Here, women are invited to find their voice, to stand more fully in their true selves, and to gather in community with others who feel a deep reverence for the natural world.

  • Our Tea Apothecary

Our tea apothecary is a place for unhurried moments. The room is softened by pale neutrals, natural light, and gentle textures—comfortable chairs and small sofas that invite you to settle in, rest your body, and stay awhile. Nothing here is meant to rush you along.

Our teas are primarily herbal, crafted from plants long trusted for their calming and restorative qualities. Each small-batch brew is steeped with patience and care, its warmth lingering in the cup and in the body. Many blends are naturally caffeine-free, while others include gentle green or white teas, offering quiet clarity without urgency.

Every cup offers a pause—an invitation to breathe, soften, and arrive fully in the moment. You might warm your hands around a mug, sit back into a cushion, or let the quiet presence of the space hold you as you sip.

Light cottage-made bites and seasonal treats are offered simply, meant to nourish without distraction. Conversations unfold slowly here, or not at all. You are welcome to sit with a book, meet a friend, or enjoy the ease of being alone in a shared, gentle space.

Our teas change with the seasons, reflecting the rhythms of the natural world and the shifting needs of the body. You may enjoy a cup or a pot to linger with, or choose a blend to take home—something comforting to carry the feeling of this place into your everyday life.

The Quiet House Tea Apothecary is not just somewhere to drink tea. It is a soft interior refuge—where women are invited to rest, reconnect, and be held by warmth, simplicity, and care, one cup at a time.

  • Soft Living Collection

Everything in our Soft Living Collection is personally curated to reflect a gentler way of living—one rooted in presence, light magick, and beauty that feels both meaningful and quietly special. Our offerings include flower essences, crystals, essential oils, ritual tools, oracle cards, and soft, comforting textiles, each chosen with care and reverence.

These are not objects meant to rush past. They are invitations to slow down—to notice texture, scent, weight, and feeling. You may find yourself drawn to the grounding smoothness of a crystal, the familiar comfort of linen or velvet, or the subtle aroma of an oil that settles the nervous system and softens the day.

Each piece is selected to support body, mind, and spirit, offering gentle companions for everyday rituals and moments of pause. Some are meant to be kept close, others given as meaningful gifts—tokens of care for yourself or someone you love.

The collection shifts with the seasons, echoing the rhythms of the natural world and the quiet changes we move through within ourselves. Every item reflects our belief that beauty, softness, and quiet living are forms of care.

The Soft Living Collection is not simply a gathering of objects—it is part of the atmosphere of The Quiet House itself. A place to wander slowly, to choose thoughtfully, and to leave with something that carries the feeling of this space with you: calm, warmth, and a gentle return to what matters.

  • Feminine Fulfillment Gatherings

Our Feminine Fulfillment offerings are spaces of shared presence, reflection, and gentle connection. These circles are created for women to gather as they are—at any season of life—and to be witnessed, supported, and held in community.

Within the Moon Goddess Circle, we honor cyclical living and the wisdom of the lunar rhythms. Our Peri- and Menopause Monthly Circle offers a compassionate space to speak openly, rest deeply, and share the lived experience of change. Gatherings for Women Over 60 celebrate accumulated wisdom, storytelling, and the beauty of aging with grace and truth.

Guided Meditation and Journaling Circles invite quiet inward listening, while the Ancestral Wisdom Circle reconnects us with lineage, memory, and the unseen threads that shape who we are. In the Dream Circle, we listen to the language of the subconscious, sharing symbols and stories that arise in sleep and intuition. Reiki Energy Circles offer a gentle, restorative space for energetic balance, while Motherhood Conversations create room for honest dialogue, tenderness, and mutual understanding across the many stages of mothering.

Each gathering is guided with care and reverence, allowing conversation to unfold naturally and silence to be honored when needed. These are not spaces for fixing or striving, but for remembering—who we are, what we carry, and how deeply we are connected to one another.

Feminine Fulfillment at The Quiet House is an invitation to slow down, to be seen, and to belong. A place where women are welcomed into community, reflection, and gentle transformation—one shared circle at a time.

  • Community Gatherings

Our Community Gatherings are gentle invitations to spend time together—unhurried, creative, and grounded in ease. Each gathering creates space for companionship without pressure, allowing connection to unfold naturally through shared presence.

Handwork Evenings welcome knitting, stitching, mending, or simple making alongside warm cups of tea and quiet conversation. Silent Reading Evenings honor the comfort of shared quiet, where each person reads in their own world, together.

Puzzles and Pause and our book club, Mystic Brews & Literary Views invite slow focus and thoughtful engagement, while Magical Trivia Night brings moments of lightness, curiosity, and laughter.

Tea & Tones offers a calming creative experience through guided color-by-number projects, enjoyed individually yet side by side, with tea gently grounding the moment. Candlelight Cinema & Tea creates a cozy communal atmosphere where thoughtfully chosen films are paired with tea flights, soft lighting, and the comfort of gathering together—picnic baskets and blankets always welcome.

Craft Through This is a tender, supportive gathering where women come together to work with their hands in quiet companionship. Creating side by side offers steadiness and care, allowing space for grounding, reflection, and gentle connection without the need to explain or perform.

Each Community Gathering at The Quiet House is shaped by warmth, simplicity, and intention. These are moments to step out of urgency and into shared presence—to create, read, watch, reflect, or simply sit together. Nothing here asks more of you than to arrive as you are and take part in the quiet comfort of being in community.

  • Creative Offerings

Our Creative Offerings are crafted to inspire, nurture, and provide a space for women to slow down, explore their creativity, and connect with themselves and one another. In these intimate classes of never more than 12 women, participants are invited to engage in a range of hands-on experiences—from making herbal compresses and blending teas for everyday wellness, to crafting crystal and botanical perfumes, flower and gem essence sprays, and intention candles. You may find yourself weaving a broom, creating a feather wand, exploring textile and fiber arts, or immersing in SoulCollage® as a reflective practice for self-discovery.

Each class is designed to honor the rhythms of the seasons, allowing participants to reconnect with nature, the cycles of the year, and the quiet magic of thoughtful making.

These offerings provide a gentle balance of instruction, creativity, and reflection, giving space for both personal insight and shared experience.

Every class includes a thoughtfully prepared cup of hot tea, and participants are welcome to bring a small snack to share. Each class begins in circle, with an oracle pull to set intention, and closes with a gentle reflection circle, fostering connection, presence, and personal awareness.

New offerings are added throughout the year, continually evolving to support curiosity, play, and growth, all within a soft, welcoming environment where presence, care, and thoughtful guidance are at the heart of every moment.
